Description

There is evidence that this item was at least partially installed (wrench markings and residue on the sensing bulb) but it is immaculate otherwise and appears to have been uninstalled without being put in use.  Typical applications for this model include heat exchangers and heated storage/process tanks using steam or hot water as the heating medium.
The 91000 Series Self-Operating Temperature Regulator is the preferred choice of original equipment manufacturers, mechanical contractors and specifying engineers. These regulators require no external power source and are ideal for regulating the temperature of tanks, process streams and various types of industrial equipment. The Actuator is noted for its rugged die-cast aluminum housing, fully enclosed bellows assembly and internal over range protection.
The Trerice Series 91000 Temperature Regulator operates on the vapor pressure principle. The thermally sensitive bulb of the instrument contains a fluid that creates a vapor which increases or decreases in pressure as the sensing bulb temperature increases or decreases. This vapor pressure is transmitted hydraulically to the bellows which, opposed by the adjusting (return) spring, actuates the valve controlling the flow in proportion to the sensed temperature at the bulb.
