    Description

    Like-New Hardinge STL Automatic Indexing Turret/Toolpost for HLV or HLV-H Lathe. Accepts up to 3/8" tools.  Does not appear to have ever been used(!). There are signs that it had a single tool mounted at one point, but no scratches or chips that indicate that it ever turned a part. Entire thing was covered in cosmoline that took me over an hour to carefully clean off with soft wood tools and plenty of mineral spirits... Anything that looks like rust in the pics is residue from the preservative and will clean off with a bit more elbow grease. The only place that there was anything close to rust is at the tip of the mounting stud where the cosmoline had rubbed off and there was a bit of corrosion.  This left minor pitting that is clearly pictured in the third pic.
    There are some light dings and scratches from sitting in a tool box for decades, but it is in exceptional condition for its age.
    Indexing is smooth and solid.  Push the lever one way to unlock the toolpost, pull lever the other way to index 90 degrees, and then push the lever back to lock it in.
