Belt Grinder Flat Platten Mounting Bracket for 2x72" knife making grinder

Start your homebuilt grinder project off with a rock solid flat platen mounting bracket!
This flat platen mounting bracket bolts onto our D-style backing plate. A flat platen is then bolted to the front of this mounting bracket. The bracket is laser cut out of 3/16" steel. It is +- 8" long & 2" wide. The mounting holes are all 1/4" diameter; the ones on the front are 6" centre to centre, the ones on the side are also 6" centre to centre.

IN THE FIRST PICTURE: THE LAST THREE PICTURES SHOW THE BRACKET BOLTED ONTO OUR D-STYLE BACKING PLATE & ALSO WITH OUR A2 TOOL STEEL FLAT PLATEN. THE D-STYLE BACKING PLATE & FLAT PLATEN ARE EXPRESSLY NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING BUT THEY ARE AVAILABLE SEPARATELY FROM OUR EBAY STORE.
Having a flat platen which can be removed from this D-style backing plate mounting bracket means you can replace flat platens when they become worn. You can also install a cooling plate between the flat platen & the mounting bracket for heavy duty grinding applications where heat becomes an issue. You can also insert pieces of shim stock (or aluminum baking tray material) to true the flat platten in relation to the D-style backing plate.
